SWRCB Resolution 2009-042, May 19, 2009
In response to the Financial Crisis at the UST Cleanup Fund, on May 19, 2009, the State Water Board adopted Resolution 2009-042. This Resolution required that Regional Boards and Local Agencies review their entire caseload for closure, and for cases deemed not ready for closure, provide written justification defending their finding. This Resolution also directed the formation of two State Task Forces - The UST Cleanup Fund Task Force, which provides oversight and guidance to the UST Cleanup Fund, and the UST Program Task Force, which is responsible for providing recommendations to modify the existing UST Regulatory Program at the State.
