Closure Solutions excels at breaking regulatory deadlock and presenting arguments for case closure. According to the California State Water Resources Control Board, in order for a site to be closed, the contaminant plume must be fully defined, free phase product must be removed to the extent practical, and the remaining contaminants must not pose a significant threat to the environment.

In certain situations, even though the above conditions are met, the regulator still won’t close your case. In these cases, with your approval, Closure Solutions will petition your case up to the State Water Resources Control Board. If a strong argument for closure can be made, the State Board has the authority to review and close your case despite any objections by your caseworker. The petitions process is straightforward, but requires experience and intensive regulatory negotiation to result in a successful outcome.
